BRANDING          Graphic design           Digital design

A gaming icon reimagined

Team 17 Group is a titan in the games industry - an indie legend for decades - with the likes of Worms and Hell Let Loose in its portfolio. Having acquired Astragon and StoryToys into its business it needed a strategic rethink at Group Level. Team 17 Group approached Aurora with this challenge and I worked as lead designer on the project, tasked with creating the visual identity that sprung out of the strategy.

Their biggest and most obvious challenge was differentiating between the Team 17 Group company and its three gaming platforms - especially its Team 17 games platform. The obvious answer was a name change at group level and tweaking the brand architecture. This allowed for a group level which allowed each of its group businesses to shine individually.

Inspired by the brand idea of 'never stop playing' we landed on the new name: everplay. From the core idea and name I took on the visual identity with the goal being to impress gamers and investors alike, a fine line to tread!

The project also included a new group website which can be viewed here. I designed the UI for the site, introducing the new brand on a digital platform. Aimed mostly at investors and with relatively little content, I kept the layouts simple, whilst introducing playful moments where possible.
